- Venue:- Willoughby Avenue/The Esplanade Car Park, West Mersea , near Colchester, Essex (click directions)
- Date and Time: - Sunday 22nd June 2008 start time 10 a.m.
- Course Details: - Approximately 13 miles, multi-terrain following the sea wall, beach and very short stretches on-road, all on the flat. The course runs completely round the Island in a clockwise direction. It is recommended that you wear a good strong pair of trainers, racing flats are definitely unsuitable.
- Drink stations: - There will be 4, manned, drink stations around the course.
- Prizes :- Medals for all, trophies for usual category winners as detailed on the entry form.

- Minimum age for entry:- 17 years
- Number of runners :- Growing annually, 350 runners in 2007. A good mix of runners - club, unattached, experienced and new.
